  • Direct students to task 1 on the overhead sheet and ask: Which model is a triple scale copy of Model A? Discuss in your group before coming to an agreed answer.
  • Bring groups together to share responses. Ask: How is Model A like Model B? How is Model A different from Model B?
  • Direct students to task 2 on the overhead sheet and ask: Which model is a double scale copy of Model A? Discuss in your group before coming to an agreed answer.
  • Bring groups together to share responses. Ask: How is Model A like Model D? How is Model A different from Model D?
  • Direct students to task 3 on the overhead sheet and ask: Which model is a double scale copy of Model A? Discuss in your group before coming to an agreed answer.
  • Bring groups together to share responses. Ask: How is Model A like Model B? How is Model A different from Model B?
  • Direct students to independently carry out task 4 and 5.
