| Resources | Copy the activity to an overhead sheet, an overhead projector. Thin white card cut into squares about 15 cm x 15 cm, scissors, ruler. Make up a shape pattern as described on the activity sheet to show the students. |
| Lesson Notes | - Direct students to the overhead sheet and the model pattern you have made. Ask: Work with your partner. Can you read the steps and use the diagrams to work out how to make a shape pattern like mine?
- Provide pairs with time to carry out this task. Share responses where students use the diagrams on the overhead to explain the procedure.
