- Direct students to complete task 1 - What is a scale model?
- Provide the opportunity for students to share their responses to the question.
- Place students into pairs (each with their own copy of the activity sheet).
- Direct pairs to task 2 and ask: How many different uses can you find for making models? List as many ideas as you can.
- Place pairs into groups of 4 and ask: (Reflection) Can you improve your list by listening to ideas from others in your group?
- Bring groups together to share ideas. Ask: Did you improve your list by listening to other's ideas? Can you give me an example of you improved your list?
