| Lesson Notes | - Provide each student with a copy of the activity sheet and emphasise that each student is to keep a record of the solutions agreed to by the group.
- Direct groups to the first task and ask: How much water do we drink on average each day? Is it very much of our overall usage? Why do you think that? Can you agree on an answer to this problem in your group? Assist each other in the group to ensure everyone knows how you arrived at the your answer.
- Bring groups back together to share solutions and strategies. Ask: (Reflection) Do you agree/disagree with that solution? Did you find the same solution but get there a different way? How would you do a similar problem in the future?
- Repeat the process of groups discussing solutions to each task followed by sharing and questioning of ideas at a class level. For each task ask: (Reflection) Do you agree/disagree with that solution? Did you find the same solution but get there a different way? How would you do a similar problem in the future?
