| Lesson Notes |
- Ask the first question: "is your leg longer than your arm?" Children talk about the question and provide ideas for comparing the 2 lengths.
- Ask children to guess which is longer and complete Yes or No on the worksheet.
- Children use materials to check their guess. Share findings.
- Repeat for each of the 6 questions on the worksheet. In each case the children need to agree how they will make the comparisons for 'shorter', 'bigger', 'greater'.
|
| Reflections | Discuss other questions that could be asked where the size of body parts is compared. Ask children to write down (or draw a picture) the question they would like to answer.
Provide students with the time, space and materials to investigate their personal question.
