- Encourage students to show their age in different ways including the use of numbers and drawing on the activity sheet and making sets of objects (models).
- Students share ideas as a whole class.
- Students complete the reflection on the activity sheet.
- Provide Activity 006B as an extension activity. Hold a brief discussion to clarify the problem to be solved and ask students to work in small groups of 3 or 4 to find solutions. Have counting material and calculators available as well as working paper.
- Share solutions. Ask: How is each answer the same? Can you tell me how old you will be in 60 years? 70 years? How old will a year 3 child be in 10, 20, 30.. years?...
