Resources	Have available: 2 cm cubes, metre measuring tapes or rulers, calculators.
Lesson Notes	Students should have experience with Activity 001 prior to this Activity. Direct students to solve the problem using the inquiry process: Strategy, Planning, Working, Finding. Share findings and strategies used. Students compare their strategy with others and use the Reflective Table to evaluate the effectiveness of their strategy. Extend: Ask students to calculate the number of MAB flats they could fit on the floor. Extend: Ask students to make a list of occupations where measurement of area is used.
Reflections	Students use the Reflective Table provided on their worksheet to assess their strategy.
